Home Learning

Hello Year 4!

I Hope you all had a great weekend and enjoyed the sunshine! This is our last week of home learning (hopefully!) enjoy it! You have worked so hard and I can't wait to see you next Monday! Please make sure you work hard this week and complete all the maths and English as a minimum otherwise you will be behind when you come back to school.

Thursday is World Book Day! We will be having a special zoom at 9am to celebrate and I have set you lots of exciting tasks to do throughout the day! Apart from maths it is a day off timetable so no normal lessons! You can dress up if you want to but there is no pressure!

Have a great week everyone and I can't wait to see what you get up to on the zooms and on Purple Mash!

Hello Year 4!

Welcome back! I hope you all had a lovely relaxing half term! Hopefully it won't be long until you are back in school but we will be starting the new term as we ended the last one with home learning. Although we have new topics our structure will be the same so please use this page to complete the lessons and tasks and don't forget to upload your work to Purple Mash at the end of each day. We will be carrying on with our weeks so this first week back is week 7 (this is where you will find English and maths) then you need to use the afternoon tab to find those lessons. If you have any problems or need to get in touch please don't forget you can email me at year4@orchardprimary.org.uk.

Weekly timetable

Hello Year 4!

Last week of this term! It has gone so fast!! You have all worked so hard and I am so proud of every single one of you!

This week we are finishing off our poetry unit and writing our own poems by the end of the week. We are also finishing our story for this term and completing a book review. In maths we will be revisiting, 3D shapes as well as looking at some statistic work and practising our times tables.

As always I'm looking forward to seeing your work on Purple Mash and all of you throughout the week on zoom!

If you need me don't forget you can email me year4@orchardprimary.org.uk. I will also be phoning you all this week to say a quick hello and well done for this term and wishing you a very happy half term break!

Hello Year 4!

Week 5 - I can't believe how quickly this term is going! We only have this week and next week until we get a week off! WAHOO!

You have all worked so hard and I am so proud of all of you for producing such fantastic work! You are incredible! Please see below all the tools you'll need for this weeks home learning and don't forget to come on zoom every morning at 9am so I can go through everything for that day in more detail! There will also be some additional zooms throughout the week depending on what we need some more support with but I will let you know via marvellous me when those will be.

The next two weeks we will be completing a poetry unit as well as finishing our book and our reading tasks for this term so there is an extra tab!

This week is Children's Mental Health week so I have put a list of resources and activities below for you to work your way through. I would like you to make a start with this on Monday during our PSHE lesson but you can go back to it throughout the week if you want to!

Keep in touch and stay safe!

Hello Year 4

We are on to week 4! You are all doing so amazingly well - I really am so proud of everyone of you!

Same schedule as last week, don't forget to join our 9am zoom so you know what to do each day and so you can check in with your friends!

Have a super week and remember if you need anything please do let me know!

Hello Year 4

Well done on all your hard work last week! We are now on week 3! I am really excited to read lots more of our book this week and to make a start on our new block in maths. Your maths, spellings and English work is under this post and then your afternoon subjects are under week 3! When you are clicking on the afternoon lessons you need to complete lesson 2 this week.

Remember to join the zoom every morning at 9 so you I can take the register and explain all the tasks for the day in more detail! It is also a lovely opportunity to see you all and to play some games.

After you have finished all the work set for the day remember to upload it to purple mash! It is a great way to keep all your hard work together in a folder and ensures I can mark it and give you feedback!

As always please do email me if you have any questions, concerns or just want to say hi! You are all doing an amazing job so thank you!!

Take care,

Hello Year 4!

Well done for completing week 1! We are now getting in the swing of things and as well as our daily 9am zoom there will be a bit more structure to this week. I have uploaded a timetable which we will try and follow every week so there is some consistency. You will find the new English, maths and spellings under each week's heading but all of the afternoon subjects will be in separate tabs at the bottom with all the lessons for this term. Please work your way through the lessons in the correct order so they make sense! I will explain and deliver each lesson on the zoom in the morning or leave a video for you to watch at your convenience. I will also leave a message on the blog each morning explaining everything.

Any questions please do just email me year4@orchardprimary.org.uk

Take care and keep doing what you're doing!

Hello Year 4!

Happy New Year and welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and enjoyed the break! I am so sorry that you aren't going to be coming into school this term but we will still have lots of fun with our home learning. For our first week while we settle back in I have set you a normal morning with reading, writing and maths but the afternoons will be a bit different. Under the afternoon tab you will find a grid of activities all focused around keeping yourself healthy and safe. Choose two activities to do each afternoon or more if you want to - I can't wait to see you getting creative!

If you have any questions, need any help or just want to chat please email year4@orchardprimary.org.uk

Take care and keep safe!
