"Small enough to care, Big enough to inspire"
Welcome back we are all delighted to see the children back in school for another term.
This Autumn term September 2018
The children have been going in groups to the library. This is to help them become familiar with the library and learn how to scan the books they are borrowing in and out. It is also to help them improve their reading skills.
22/1/18 This week the children in the Sunny room have been learning about healthy foods and the five food groups. They have also been doing an experiment to find out how much sugar is in drinks such as soothies, milk, water and orange juice. We found out that the smoothies contained the most sugar and the water contained the least sugar.
5/1/18 Welcome back to school after the Christmas break, we hope the children have had a lovely rest and have enjoyed the festive celebrations.
In the Sunny Room this week the children have been learning about the skeleton we have been practising naming the common bones in the body.
8/1/18 This week the children have been using their knowledge to find out about animals that have a back bone and not a back bone using those important words Vertibrates and Invertibrates. Well done! You have all worked hard this week.
15/1/18 In the Sunny Room this week we have been finding out how our muscles work. We have made a muscle using card and elastic bands to see how our muscles contract and relax. The children really enjoyed testing out their muscles.
