Reading - spelling test day and then picture inference - explore the picture carefully and have a go at answering the questions.
Maths - calculating totals and differences of populations- see ppt below.
Writing - today we are exploring good vs bad instructions. Follow the sets of instructions and decide which ones are the good ones and which are bad. See if you can write why the one set is good!
PE - practicing football skills passing and kicking the ball with the side of our feet. See if you can create a football goal and practice shooting too! If you haven't got a ball, you could use a pair of socks rolled up!
Thursday 30th September - home learning tasks
Reading - read through the How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth story and then have a go at writing your own short character description of the woolly mammoth. Think about what he is like, how does he look, how he behaves and what adjectives you could use to describe him.
Maths - building on from last week, we are practicing finding fractions of amounts - have a go at the questions below.
Writing - today I would like you to have a go at creating a text map for How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth - try to include the key words from the steps, then have a go at retelling the text to a grown up or sibling at home using your text map!

Reading - today I would like you to have a go at reading the Stone Age Stew comprehension text and answering the questions - remember to try and answer them in full sentences.
Maths - today I would you to calculate the time differences on the clocks - can you draw the hands and write the times digitally.
Writing - today I would like you to read through the copy of How to Wash a Woolly Mammoth and try and find the different features. Can you create a key to show them?
Art - today I would like you to create your own cave and then have a go at creating your own cave art - try adn use natural materials to make your artwork!
