  • The Plum Festival

Thu 09 May 2024 Pershore Plum Festival

INTRODUCING THE PLUM POSSE! Brand new to this year’s Pershore Plum Festival.

Plum Blossom Sunday takes place this year on 7 July.  This has always been the event when we select junior members of the Plum Festival team.  Traditionally we have limited the event to girls but we want to encourage everyone to get involved in Pershore Plum Festival so, from this year, the event will be open to all children aged 8 - 11 years as we seek volunteers to join Prunella and Egbert in their Plum Posse.

The Plum Posse are responsible for welcoming visitors to the Plum Festival Events throughout August.  We are looking for young people who want to get involved in their local community and have the confidence to chat to visitors, hand out information and generally make people feel welcome.

Applications are open to all children aged 8 - 11 years in our local area.  Applications can be made online at http://www.pershoreplumfestival.org/plum-posse.  The deadline is 16 June 2024.

  • iSingPop

    Tue 07 May 2024

On Friday we welcomed iSingPop to school. The children took part in workshops lead by Jessica during the day to learn new songs with a "joy-seeker" well-being theme. They had great fun and added their own moves to them as well as learning about some of the Christian values. All the children joined together in an assembly to sing together at the end of the day.

  • Year 4 Trip to Warwick Castle

    Mon 15 Apr 2024

Last Thursday, our Year 4 class enjoyed a trip to Warwick Castle as part of their topic on Kings and Queens. The children had the opportunity to experience how people lived in the castle in the past and explored the rooms of the castle, including the Great Hall, as well as the walls and towers outside. They especially enjoyed watching the birds of prey demonstration with an eagle flying just above their heads! Please have a look at their class page to see some photos of their day.

We would like to say thank you very much to our parent helpers for coming with us - we hope you enjoyed your day too!

  • Tiddler Town Visit

    Wed 10 Apr 2024 Reception

We had a wonderful visit from Tiddler Town at the end of last term! In preparation for our new topic, Come Outside, we explored the Garden Centre and created our own cuttings and bouquets of flowers. We also loved exploring the different role play areas and stations, linked to different professions we might like to try when we grow up.

Year 4 pupils and their parents/carers are invited to a private viewing of the exhibition on Thursday 21 March from 4pm until 6pm. Their work, alongside that of other local schools, will be on display to the public at Number 8 until Wednesday 10 April.

  • Forensic Science Workshops

    Mon 11 Mar 2024

Today was another exciting day in school as all the classes took part in forensic science workshops during the day. The children became forensic scientists, looking for clues at a "crime scene" and trying to work out who the person was that committed the "crime". They learnt lots of interesting facts and information.
