The children and staff had a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day on Thursday 5 March. There were lots of amazing costumes filling the classrooms with colour and creativity. Throughout the day, the children took part in a range of exciting book-related activities. It was a great celebration of reading, imagination, and having fun together.
Reception had a fantastic time at the Early Years Music Festival organised by SevernArts yesterday morning! The theme of the festival was Space and the children sang lots of space songs and had fun dancing with scarves and making music with their homemade shakers. They also loved dressing up in their space-themed costumes!
Our Year 5 class were invited, along with pupils from other local schools, to watch Pershore High School's production of Beauty and the Beast. The children really enjoyed the performance, which was followed by a singing and dancing workshop to learn the song "Gaston". We would like to thank the Drama Dept for inviting us.
Yesterday, all the children took part in workshops bringing science to life: A crime had been committed, and the class had to work together to piece together the evidence! Clues and evidence had to be identified, collected, interpreted and analysed. Children practised science skills such as observing, exploring and asking questions.
A big thank you to the Friends for organising the end-of-term disco and to Mr Gilbert for being a fantastic DJ! The children had a fabulous time – a lovely way to end the first half of the Spring Term!
Year 3 and Year 5 had a brilliant day working with The History Man. Year 5 experienced life in Viking times and looked amazing in their costumes. Year 3 took on the role of Roman Centurions, learning about life in Roman times.
Thank you for all your donations to the recent Poppy Appeal; we have received our certificate today confirming we raised the fantastic sum of £240.72!
Parents and children joined Pershore Round Table during the evening of the last day of term to help Santa and his sleigh bring joy and festive cheer to local residents. The money collected through the Santa Sleigh runs is donated predominantly to local charities and good causes, and last year our school was fortunate to benefit from this. Thank you to all the parents and children who supported this event.
Thank you so much for all the cards, gifts and good wishes given to staff this week – it really is appreciated! We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.
There was a lot of excitement in school yesterday as the children took part in the Christmas Fun Day organised by the Friends. Throughout the day, the children took part in a variety of activities, including biscuit decorating, making hot chocolate reindeer, Christmas bingo, Christmas word searches and colouring, making decorations, and a scavenger hunt! Staff and pupils also joined together in the hall at lunchtime to enjoy Christmas lunch provided by The Deli. We would like to say a really big "thank you" to the Friends for organising this amazing event for the children.
