  • Year 6 Leavers Service

    On Friday we held our Leavers Service at Pershore Abbey as Year 6 shared their special memories of their time at Orchard Primary and their hopes for the future. We wish them all every success as they move on to High School and are sure they will approach their next chapter with enthusiasm and commitment. Thank you to all the parents and families who came to the service and a big thank you to Pershore Abbey for allowing us to use their wonderful building. Good luck Year 6 – you have been brilliant, and we are excited to see all the wonderful things you will achieve in the future.

  • Circus Skills Workshop

    The children started the day yesterday with an exciting assembly where they were introduced to circus skills and the workshops they would be taking part in during the day. The children each used a variety of equipment, including diabolo, spinning plates, balance boards, and juggling balls. The sessions were a great mix of fun and education, encouraging the children to step out of their comfort zones, discover new talents and develop skills such as communication, balance, co-ordination and agility. Everyone had a lot of fun!

  • Grossbusters!

    Wow ... what an amazing show! We are incredibly proud of all the children for performing Grossbusters at Number 8 last week. A special mention must go to our fantastic Year 6 class who took on the lead roles and have practised so hard since they finished their SATs exams. Thank you to all parents, carers, families and friends for being such a great audience and supporting all the children.

  • Music Showcase

    This afternoon, we were entertained during assembly by the children who have been having music lessons with Mrs Fox this year. This was a wonderful opportunity for the children to showcase their talents and how much they had learnt. If your child is in Year 4, 5 or 6 and is interested in learning to play a musical instrument, please contact the school office for more information.

  • Sports Day and Summer Fayre

    Well done to all the children who took part in Sports Day last week. There was a great atmosphere of both competitiveness and team spirit as the house teams competed against each other. It was fantastic to see so many smiles as well as the children's determination to try their best! Thank you to all the friends and families who came to support the children and enjoy a picnic with us afterwards. A big "thank you" also to the PTA for organising the Summer Fayre and the always popular bouncy slide!

  • Transition Day

    Monday 29 June was our whole school transition day. While Year 4 were able to spend time with Miss Oakley during their Residential Trip, the rest of the school enjoyed a variety of activities with their new class teacher ready for September. We were also delighted to welcome our new Reception intake during the morning; they were able to familiarise themselves with their new classroom and teachers.

  • Year 4 Residential Trip

    On Monday, a very excited Year 4 class left for their overnight residential trip to Croft Farm, near Tewkesbury. For some, this was their first experience of staying away from home and provided a wonderful opportunity for the children to build resilience, deepen friendships, try new activities in a supportive environment and create special memories. Thank you to the staff who made this trip possible.

  • Zog - Live on Stage

    On Tuesday afternoon, our Reception and Year 1 classes travelled to The Swan Theatre in Worcester to watch the performance of Zog – Live on Stage! It was very exciting, especially as some of us had never been to the theatre before! The show was amazing, and we enjoyed the songs and the puppets. Thank you to our parent helpers for coming with us.

  • Hot Weather Alert

    The weather next week is predicted to be hot! Please ensure your child brings a sunhat and water bottle to school and has sun cream applied. Children may wear non-uniform clothes to help keep them cool - no football kits or open-toe shoes please!
