    • School Disco

      Our recent school disco was a fantastic success, with pupils enjoying the music, dancing, and fun with friends.

      There were some great Halloween costumes and the children filled the hall with energy as they danced to their favourite songs. There were plenty of smiles throughout the evening, and it was wonderful to see pupils from across the school coming together to enjoy the event.

      A huge thank-you goes to the parents who helped organise and run the event, making it such an enjoyable experience for everyone!

    • Climbing Challenge

      Over the last few weeks, some of our pupils have had the exciting opportunity to visit a climbing centre in Worcester. They embraced the challenge with enthusiasm, pushing themselves to try something different while building confidence and resilience. It has been a rewarding experience for everyone involved, and the pupils have had a great deal of fun.

    • SCARF Wellbeing Workshops

      As part of our SCARF subscription, pupils in Years 3–6 took part last week in expert-led sessions that support children's health, wellbeing and personal development. The themes of the workshops were: Acceptance (Y3), Protecting Myself – Body and Mind (Y4), The Brain – calming a busy mind (Y5) and Going for Goals (Y6). These workshops are designed to help children build emotional resilience and self-awareness and promote positive mental health and coping strategies.

    • Year 1 visit Bishops Wood

      Yesterday, our Year 1 pupils swapped the classroom for the great outdoors, heading to Bishops Wood Field Centre in Stourport-on-Severn.  This term, the children have been looking at "The Three Little Pigs" and the visit provided an amazing opportunity to learn about materials and building houses linked with that story; it was a very hands-on day!

    • Cross Country Event

      We are very proud of our pupils from Years 5 and 6 who took part in the cross-country event at Prince Henry's High School, Evesham yesterday. Running against schools from across Worcestershire, our team showed outstanding resilience and determination. Every single runner pushed themselves, crossing the finish line with pride. A big thank you to Mr Ferman and Mrs Marks for taking and supporting the children.

    • Tiddler Town Visit

      Children in Pre-school to Year 2 enjoyed another great visit from Tiddler Town last week with lots of fun at the hairdressers, police station, café and builders!  These visits provide the children with wonderful, interactive learning opportunities through play as well as promoting links to careers and the topic of "people who help us".

    • Year 2 visit the Cotswold Wildlife Park

      Year 2 had an exciting opportunity to meet lots of animals when they visited the Cotswold Wildlife Park yesterday. It was a lovely day to explore the park and the different enclosures; while they were there, the children also enjoyed a keeper-led talk on African animals.

    • Year 6 Residential Trip

      Our Year 6 class had a great time during their Residential Trip to Condover Hall, Shropshire this week. All the children had fun and experienced different activities that they might not normally do; they also worked as a team and collaborated on a variety of problem-solving activities. The children thought the food was very good too! Thank you to Mrs Edwards and Ms Poole for looking after the children during their trip.

    • Year 6 Leavers Service

      On Friday we held our Leavers Service at Pershore Abbey as Year 6 shared their special memories of their time at Orchard Primary and their hopes for the future. We wish them all every success as they move on to High School and are sure they will approach their next chapter with enthusiasm and commitment. Thank you to all the parents and families who came to the service and a big thank you to Pershore Abbey for allowing us to use their wonderful building. Good luck Year 6 – you have been brilliant, and we are excited to see all the wonderful things you will achieve in the future.

    • Circus Skills Workshop

      The children started the day yesterday with an exciting assembly where they were introduced to circus skills and the workshops they would be taking part in during the day. The children each used a variety of equipment, including diabolo, spinning plates, balance boards, and juggling balls. The sessions were a great mix of fun and education, encouraging the children to step out of their comfort zones, discover new talents and develop skills such as communication, balance, co-ordination and agility. Everyone had a lot of fun!
