Before half-term, we welcomed Karen from Little Litter Warriors to teach the children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 the importance of keeping our environment clean and free from litter. Each class had the opportunity to spend time with her in a different area around school, on and off the grounds. Some of the pieces of litter dated back to 2003!
These are the results of their litter pick!
Reception - 377 pieces of litter with a 2005 dated crisp packet.
Year 1 - 523 pieces of litter with a drink can dated 2003.
Year 2 - 2040 pieces with their oldest find, the 2005 crisp packet.
Therefore, Year 2 won the amount and Year 1 won the vintage find!
The children were very enthusiastic! If you would like to continue their excellent work, families can also adopt their street with the council. Free litter picking is given to each family Wychavon Adopt a Street scheme - Wychavon District Council
