On a Wednesday, we go to our Forest School area and explore the great outdoors.
We put on our overalls, coats and wellies so our clothes can stay nice and clean. The children like to run around Forest School, collect sticks, find leaves, go on bug hunts and play hide and seek in the trees. We also have a swing that the children love to play on.
These sessions ensure that the children get the opportunity to experience the outdoors, seeing wildlife and taking in the fresh air; this is very important for them to experience.

18.10.23 Today at Welly Wednesday we made leaf creatures, and sang lots of songs with the parachute
11.10.23 Today at Welly Wednesday we made Autumn picture frames, we used leaves and sticks to decorate and looked through them to see the Autumn nature
04.10.23 Today we looked for signs of Autumn with our magnifying glasses, noticed the leaves changing colours, and popped some bubbles to finish
27.09.23 Today we made our own blackberry playdough and made hedgehogs using sticks, pine cones and playdough

12.1.2022 Bird Feeders...using pine cones we covered them in peanut butter and dipped them in the bird seed and nuts, then we hung them in the trees for the birds.

We went on a pumpkin hunt today...we hand to find all 10 of the numbered pumpkins
Today we explored the Forest School area
Today we talked about the changing seasons...how the leaves were beginning to change colour. We then had a go at decorating our own leaves using paint and dried leaves.
Today we planted Pansies and talked about what they need to help them grow
