Summer 1 - Art

This half term in RE, we are exploring the Key Question; What do Christians believe Jesus did to ‘save’ people?

Anglo-Saxon and Viking Day (9.1.23)

Year 5 will have a very exciting start to our Spring One Topic as we'll be receiving a special visit from an Anglo-Saxon! 

Throughout the day the children will be taking part in a number of different activities to fully immerse themselves in our new 'Invaders' topic. To add to the experience, we are asking the children to dress as an Anglo-Saxon, or Viking, for the day.  We know how creative you all are so please use your imagination and what you already have at home- we do also have a number of items that can be borrowed for the day if needed.

Ideas: 

Your school trousers or skirt and a white shirt/top would be a great start. You could even have a go at making your own Anglo-Saxon or Viking helmet from card (or a bowl and tinfoil can work wonders!)
