Admissions

Our Pre-school is accessible to children and families from all sections of the community and accepts children from all catchment areas. Children may attend Pre-school from the half-term after they reach the age of 2 years, subject to availability of places. 2 year old children are only able to attend the morning sessions in Pre-school. A child can remain with us until the term before his or her 5th birthday.

We welcome children regardless of their gender, special educational needs, disabilities, background, religion, ethnicity or competence in spoken English.  We will liaise fully with parents and professionals to ensure that it is in the child’s best interests to attend the group.

We are flexible about attendance patterns to accommodate the needs of individual children. We do ask, however, that children attend for a minimum of 2 sessions per week to enable them to benefit from the  continuity and stability of their learning environment.

Visits to our Pre-school are always welcome by prior appointment to ensure we are able to allocate sufficient time to show you around and answer any questions you may have.

Please note that although Pre-school is run by Orchard Primary School, admission to it does not guarantee your child admission to our Reception Class; places for Reception need to applied for via Worcestershire County Council.
