  • Easter Egg Hunt

    Thu 28 Mar 2013

Reception children dressed up in their Easter bonnets and went on parade to find the hidden Easter Eggs!  They thoroughly enjoyed collecting the colourful eggs, which were really well hidden.  After lots of running around, the children decided that it was only fair to share out all the eggs with the rest of the school.

We are very grateful to Asda, Pershore who kindly donated the Easter Eggs and Bonnets to the children.

  • Dance Assembly

    Thu 28 Mar 2013
The school hall was packed with parents and carers who came to watch children in all year groups perform their dance.  Each class had been supported by a PE coach who had taught them a dance from a different country.  The children should be very proud of their achievements and the confidence they showed in their performance.

  • Maths Games

    Mon 18 Mar 2013
Thank you to all parents who supported our afternoon of Maths Games with the children and came in to play some of the games with them.  Over the coming weeks all children will be taking home maths games to support their learning in school.
  • Lowry Day - Review

    Mon 11 Mar 2013 Year 4

A man who was inspired by the artist Lowry came to Cherry Orchard. The man told us some interesting facts about Mr Lowry. Mr Lowry’s mother (Elizabeth) used to dress him in dresses because she had wanted a girl!

In school Laurence Stephen Lowry was more of an artist than a learner, he doodled a lot. His doodling was simple, it was simple geometric shapes.

  • Year 4 Residential Trip

    Fri 08 Mar 2013
A tired but very happy group of Year 4 children arrived back this week following their Residential Trip to Malvern Outdoor Education Centre!  The children (and teachers!) enjoyed an action-packed trip, leaving school on Monday and arriving back on Wednesday afternoon having tried lots of new activities and pushing themselves to new limits!  They should all be very proud of themselves!
