  • Mothers Day Breakfast

    On Friday morning mums and grandmothers were invited into school for a special Mothers Day Breakfast!  They joined the children in the classroom for orange juice and croissants before gathering in the school hall where they were treated to a reading of poems by all the classes.
  • Team Cherry Orchard take part in the Sport Relief Mile

    On Sunday 23 members of staff, together with many family groups, braved the hailstones to take part in the Sport Relief Mile around Abbey Park in Pershore!  All entrants completed either 1, 3 or 6 miles around the park.  Thank you to everyone who took part or who has sponsored us - our fundraising total currently stands at £587.00!
  • Dance Festival

    Yesterday morning a very excited group of children, kitted out with pom poms and new red and white outfits, took part in a Dance Festival at Prince Henrys High School in Evesham!  All the children are members of our after-school Cheerleading Club and have been practising their routine with Bex from KO Sport.  They thoroughly enjoyed their dance as well as watching children from other schools perform.  We hope they will be able to show parents at our next Celebration Assembly.

  • Year 4 Residential Trip

    Our Year 4 class returned from their 3-day residential trip this afternoon - tired but very happy!  All the staff were really impressed with how the children embraced the new challenges while they were at Malvern Outdoor Education Centre; trying new activities, making new friends and some staying away from home for the first time!  Well done Year 4, we look forward to hearing all about your adventures!

  • Worcester Wolves Assembly

    This afternoon we were visited by two team members from Worcester Wolves Basketball team!  They entertained the children with their ball skills and the children were able to ask them lots of questions about basketball and their team.  They have also given us free child tickets (with a paying adult) totheir game this Friday!
  • Celebration Assembly

    Today we celebrated the achievements of another talented group of pupils during our Celebration Assembly: Olivia D (swimming club medal), Alice (10m swimming award), Joseph (5m swimming award and Stage 2 swimming certificate), Ross (25m swimming award), Millie Y (3rd place in U11 Lifeguards Rookie Gala), Alex (junior captain award), Tyler (football trial at Coventry) and all the Y3 children who took part in the gymnastics festival at Pershore High School.  Mrs Bitcon also handed out certificates to all the pupils with 100% attendance for the term (74 children!).  We are very proud of  you all!
  • Mrs Bitcon's Tea Party

    This afternoon Mrs Bitcon was very pleased to hold a Tea Party for the children in school who had achieved "80 reads".  Richard, Milo, Olivia P, Millie S, Eve, Sasha, Cain, Charlotte S, Charlotte K, Olivia D, Amelia, Billy and Ed all joined Mrs Bitcon in the staffroom for juice and cakes and discussed the best books that they had read and their favourite characters!  Keep up the good reading everyone!
