  • Official Opening of New Library

    Fri 24 Oct 2014

Yesterday the whole school celebrated the opening of the new school library!  The children (and staff!) came to school dressed as their favourite book character  and parents and carers were invited to join the children for cucumber sandwiches and jam tarts at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party during the afternoon!

The new library system will give parents and carers the opportunity to access the library as a family; we hope you will enjoy choosing books with your child.

Many thanks to Mrs Stanton and Mr Wheatley for setting up the new library system,  sorting the books and arranging the displays - it looks amazing!

  • School Disco!

    Thu 23 Oct 2014

A big thank you to the Friends for organising our first school disco of this academic year!  After school yesterday, the children enjoyed dancing to their favourite tunes before tucking into hotdogs and popcorn!  Thank you to all the parents who helped and also to Mr Hassall for providing the music.

  • Y3 Visit Bristol Aquarium

    Tue 21 Oct 2014
As part of their topic this term "From Ocean to Fork", the children in Year 3 enjoyed a visit to Bristol Aquarium yesterday, coming face-to-face with sharks, stingrays, octopus and piranhas!  The children were also taken on an expert-led Aquarium Safari where they were able to find out lots of interesting and fun facts about all the exhibits.  Many thanks to our parent helpers who supported the children on this visit.  We hope you enjoyed it as much as the children did.
  • Year 1 Tea Party

    Mon 20 Oct 2014
Following their very successful "Bake Off" event recently, Year 1 were very excited to be able to invite their friends and family to Afternoon Tea in the school hall on Friday afternoon.  Using the money they had raised from their cake sale, the children provided sandwiches and scones for their guests as well as making their own invitations and bunting to decorate the hall.  After a delicious tea, the children invited their parents to join them for ballroom dancing - a new skill they had been learning during the term!
  • Year 2 Visit Tesco

    Fri 10 Oct 2014

The theme of this term's topic in Year 2 has been "Harvest Cafe".  The children have been learning how different people celebrate harvest and have been finding out facts about different fruits and vegetables as well as tasting them!  As part of their topic, Year 2 visited the Tesco store in Evesham where they were given a tour of the store, including the freezers, and found out lots of interesting information about where our food comes from.  Tesco have also kindly offered to donate vegetables to the school so that Year 2 can make their own soup!

  • Year 1 Cake Sale!

    Wed 08 Oct 2014
Yesterday afternoon the children in Year 1 had a fantastic time putting on a cake sale for their families.  The children had been busy at home making and baking a delicious selection of cakes and, following a very tense "bake off" competition, the cakes were sold, raising an amazing £50!  This will be used to buy ingredients so that Year 1 can put on their own afternoon tea.   Many thanks to all the parents who supported this event.
