Yesterday the whole school celebrated the opening of the new school library! The children (and staff!) came to school dressed as their favourite book character and parents and carers were invited to join the children for cucumber sandwiches and jam tarts at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party during the afternoon!
The new library system will give parents and carers the opportunity to access the library as a family; we hope you will enjoy choosing books with your child.
Many thanks to Mrs Stanton and Mr Wheatley for setting up the new library system, sorting the books and arranging the displays - it looks amazing!
A big thank you to the Friends for organising our first school disco of this academic year! After school yesterday, the children enjoyed dancing to their favourite tunes before tucking into hotdogs and popcorn! Thank you to all the parents who helped and also to Mr Hassall for providing the music.
The theme of this term's topic in Year 2 has been "Harvest Cafe". The children have been learning how different people celebrate harvest and have been finding out facts about different fruits and vegetables as well as tasting them! As part of their topic, Year 2 visited the Tesco store in Evesham where they were given a tour of the store, including the freezers, and found out lots of interesting information about where our food comes from. Tesco have also kindly offered to donate vegetables to the school so that Year 2 can make their own soup!
