Pre-School, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 had a very special visit from the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust on Thursday! One of their wizards came to visit to ask for our help to find a missing word from nature to complete their spell. The spell is needed to look after the woodland and all the animals living in it. Along the way we found out more about oak trees and the creatures that call this tree their home!

Parents will be able to shop instore with us from this date and will experience a bright, modern, air conditioned store where your schools uniform will be displayed altogether to make that future shopping experience an enjoyable one.
In the meantime, and whilst we transition from our current store to our new store, parents will only be able to shop online from Thursday 23 November until the opening date of Friday 8 December.

The need to keep our children safe online has never been more important. Because of this, Worcestershire Children First have organised very special Online Safety Conference for Monday 27 November 2023 at 6:30pm, completely free of charge. This event has taken many months to organise and is an incredible opportunity to hear from West Mercia Detectives and a Forensic Scientist, who will share real life stories of how children are coming to harm in the digital age. They will also provide three simple steps on how to protect your children.
For more information and details of how to register, please go to the Letters page of our website or contact the school office.
Dame Rachel de Souza, Children's Commissioner for England, has recently launched 'The Big Ambition' to hear directly from children and young people across the country.
"Now, as we approach the General Election, I am clear that it is a crucial moment to take children and young people’s voices to policymakers and the Government, to make sure they are heard.
That is why, through 'The Big Ambition' survey I want to hear from children and young people about their schools, communities, family life, and the wider world. I am also asking what they want for their future, their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.
This survey is for all children and young people aged 0 to 18. Children aged 6 to 18 can complete the survey themselves. For those who may need additional support or for children under six parents and other adults can complete the survey on their behalf.
The survey can be completed here: www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/thebigambition
Through this link there is an easy read version and different questions based on the age of the child or young person.
Yesterday a group of children from Year 6 took part in the first Worcestershire Schools' Debating Competition held at The Hive, Worcester. The motion for the debate was "All bullying should lead to immediate exclusion from school" and we took the side of "against" for this. There was also an opportunity to get a book signed by Onjali Q Rauf, author of the "Boy at the Back of the Class".
Congratulations Amelia-May, Dougie, Freya, Jess, Max W and William - we are very proud of you all.
This morning, pupils in Years 4, 5 and 6 watched a Remembrance Live Assembly presented by the Royal British Legion and the National Literacy Trust to mark Remembrance 2023.
The event brought together art, music, poetry, interviews and more to create a unique, interactive, live-streamed experience for the children.
