  • Build-a-Den Day

    Fri 17 Jun 2016

This morning the whole school built dens in the school grounds in support of Save the Children's Build-a-Den Day, an event that our School Council had asked us to support.  The children worked in small groups and started by designing their den, making a list of all the materials they thought they would need and how much this would cost.  Next they purchased their materials from the stalls in the school hall.  After a lot of hard work, the dens were ready and the children were able to visit each others dens, paying 10p for each den.  All the money raised will be sent to Save the Children.  Many thanks for all the donations of cardboard boxes and other materials!

Update: We were very pleased to raise the sum of £78.69 for the charity.

  • Summer Fayre

    Wed 15 Jun 2016

On Friday evening after Sports Day we held our Summer Fayre.  A big thank you to the Friends for organising it and to all the parents who donated tombola prizes, bought raffle tickets and came along to support us.  The rain held off long enough for everyone to enjoy a variety of stalls and games as well as feasting on chilli and ice cream!

We are very happy to report that approx. £700 was raised at this event.

  • Sports Day

    Mon 13 Jun 2016
On Friday afternoon we held our annual Sports Day.  It was lovely to see so many parents and friends there supporting the children as they took part in a range of activities including:  javelin, running races, long jump and high jump.  The children have been practising these sports in their PE lessons with Mr Hyde; there were some great performances and a lot of fun was had by everyone who took part.
