  • Year 4 Netball Match

Fri 31 Jan 2020 Miss Mabbott
Yesterday our Year 4 pupils played their second match of the year against Holy Redeemer. Holy Redeemer were blown away by the progression of our skills and our improved defending tactics and the match ended 7-3 to Holy Redeemer. Well done to our GA and GS for scoring our nets! We would also like to thank the parents for watching!
  • Inter-Academy Gymnastics Festival

Thu 30 Jan 2020 Miss Mabbott
Yesterday all the pupils in Year 3 took part in an Inter Academy Gymnastics Festival with Inkberrow and Norton-juxta-Kempsey Primary Schools. We travelled to Flics Gymnastics in Worcester and had a great time exploring different gymnastics equipment that we wouldn't normally get the opportunity to use such as bars, beam and rings. We had such good fun, we made new friends within the Avonreach Trust and we learnt lots of different skills such as balancing, learning how to use core body strength and different types of jumps.
  • Water Safety Assembly

    Thu 16 Jan 2020 Year 3 / Year 4

Yesterday we had a water safety assembly taken by the Rivers and Canal Trust. We learnt lots about keeping safe in the water and how to help someone if they had fallen into a river or canal.  We were able to link the topic to our local area - the River Avon. The main message to take away and share was "SAFE" (Stay Away From the Edge").

  • KS2 Learn to play Lacrosse

    Tue 14 Jan 2020 Year 3
Today we had the opportunity to try out a brand new sport called Lacrosse. Lots of us had never heard of it before so we were excited to try something new. We had a go at using a Lacrosse stick, rolling the ball in the net of the stick, passing and catching the ball with a partner and the tricky part of scooping the ball up off the floor - for this you needed to be super speedy! It was an enjoyable session and lots of us want to have a go at this sport again.
  • Santa's Helpers!

    Mon 06 Jan 2020
On Friday 20 December the Friends of Orchard Primary School were invited to join the Round Table in accompanying Santa and his sleigh around Pershore. This was a lovely start to the festive period and brought much pleasure to a lot of people. Thank you to everyone who helped to raise money for the Round Table and our school.
  • Attendance Figures

    Mon 06 Jan 2020
It is lovely to see all the children back after the Christmas break. The attendance figures on the website are much lower than usual and reflect the high level of pupil absence in the Autumn Term due to the sickness bug and flu virus which many of the children suffered from. We look forward to a happy and healthy New Year!
