  • Monks Day

    Thu 27 Jun 2019 Year 4

This week Year 4 visited Pershore Abbey to learn about its history and the lifestyle of the monks that once lived there. We wore habits and walked to the Abbey in silence!

When we arrived, a candle was lit for each of us. We then learnt all about the monks using the stories in the stained glass windows. We then went outside to learn the history of the building.

Finally, we sat down to a meal. We were only allowed to sit when instructed and had to stop eating when the Abbot did. The whole meal took place in silence and we had to use sign language to ask for more food and drink.

    We really enjoyed the experience.

  • The Big Sing

    Wed 19 Jun 2019
On Tuesday 18 June, Year 3 and Year 4 had an exciting opportunity to take part in a large scale musical experience called The Big Sing at Worcester University Arena. This event was run by Severn Arts and led by professional musicians. The children have been busy practising four different songs: The Moment, Together as One, Singing Together and A Little Can Change Our World. They were then able to perform these songs alongside lots of other schools at the event.

  • Whole School Trip to the Thinktank Science Museum

    Mon 03 Jun 2019 Year 3

On Thursday 23 May, the whole school enjoyed a trip to the Thinktank Science Museum in Birmingham to support our science learning. We explored lots of galleries including animals and wildlife, the human body, an interactive science garden and a wildlife detective workshop. The outside area was particularly exciting with water experiments on the hot summer's day. We really enjoyed the fun day out because it was so hands on!

  • Pershore Carnival

Mon 03 Jun 2019 The Friends
Huge congratulations to all of the wonderful volunteers who worked so hard to put together a brilliant float for this year's Carnival - we won Best Motorised Float! A big "thank you" to the parents who made costumes, decorated the float and practiced the singing with the children! We hope everyone who attended the Carnival enjoyed it.
