Today the children set up their Super Snack Shop. They prepared delicious snacks, including flapjack, pots of fruit salad and fruit smoothies, and set them out for the rest of the school to buy for 10p a snack. The children used their best sales pitches to draw their customers in and, with some guidance, counted money and gave change.
The children used their beautiful manners and the happy customers enjoyed the tasty and healthy snacks.
This week we were asked by Pershore Carnival Committee to vote for our favourite theme for the Carnival next year. All the children took part and we voted as follows:
1960's - 4 votes
Circus - 59 votes
Round the World - 33 votes
On the Farm - 41 votes
Local residents were also able to vote at Pershore Library - we look forward to hearing the outcome of the full vote!
Year Two’s Trip to Tesco
12th October 2015
The children were made to feel very welcome and had a fun morning investigating where different fruit and vegetables grow and come from. They were given the opportunity to taste a variety of exotic fruits and made a fruit kebab. They also tasted a selection of colourful vegetables. Ask your child about visiting the freezer!
On Friday 2 October eight of our Year 4's were invited to take part in a Rugby Tournament organised by Worcester Warriors at Pershore Rugby Club. After a few weeks training, our team were ready to take on the challenge! Each and every student gave 100% in every match and won 3 out of their 4 matches. They were a credit to Cherry Orchard; the sponsors at the Rugby Club commented on how well behaved the team were and how impressed they were with the standard of play.
Well done to the Team (Cai, Charlie, Eve, Jayden, Megan, Robbie, Rowyn and Ryan) for an excellent result at our first Rugby Tournament. You are all stars!
