As always, our Year 6 Leavers Services at Pershore Abbey this morning was full of emotion as the children spoke of the memories they had made with us and also looked forward to their next exciting adventure at High School. Thank you to all the parents who attended and made this a special occasion for the children.
Year 6 celebrated their time at Orchard Primary School after school yesterday with a party arranged for them by their parents/carers. They had great fun on the inflatable assault course, playing football and games on the field, followed by a meal from the fish and chip shop!
The #SummerReadingChallenge is here! The Reading Agency has teamed up with Youth Sport Trust this year to encourage children to unleash the power of play, sport and physical activity through reading. Children can sign up at their local library or online at summerreadingchallenge.org.uk
#ReadySetRead!
Today we held a graduation ceremony and family picnic for the children who are leaving our pre-school this week to start their new adventure in Reception in September.
We wish all children and parents the best of luck in their next chapter and look forward to seeing you all in September!
Our Pupil Leadership Team enjoyed hosting an afternoon tea party this afternoon. Mr Corbett was the guest of honour and had been invited by our Head Girl and Head Boy, Seren and Harry, to celebrate his service of over 40 years to children and education. The children prepared sandwiches and scones and were excellent hosts! Mr Corbett was presented with a gift from the school during assembly and was also invited to attend the evening performance of our school production. We hope you enjoy your retirement Mr Corbett!
This week has all been about our amazing School Production - Pirates of the Curry Bean! We are so proud of all the children for their fantastic performances at Number 8 and the lead roles undertaken by our Year 6 pupils. We have received some lovely comments from parents about the production - thank you to everyone who supported the children.
We're just writing to let you know that bookings for HAF Worcestershire summer 2023 are now OPEN!
We have an exciting range of activities this summer - there's something for everyone - including water sports, swimming, horse riding, team building, dance and performing arts, martial arts and much, much more!
Each child or young person will get 16 credits for the summer holidays. One credit can book one activity session via our booking site: www.haf-it.co.uk
Some of our holiday club partners are also taking bookings via their own websites, which we will share on Facebook. So if you're on the socials, please keep an eye on Facebook/HAFWorcestershire for the latest news and updates.
To book activities, the child or young person will need to be verified as eligible for benefits-related FSM meal, or in one of the other eligible groups. Families and carers are urged to sign up to our website (www.haf-it.co.uk) to get verified if they have not already done so (those who signed up for Easter '23 will have accounts already so no need to sign up again, just login).
As always, should you have any questions, need further info or would just like to send us some feedback, we're ready to help and take your comments or suggestions for forward planning. Please contact us via schools@hafworcestershire.co.uk

It was lovely to meet so many of our new parents this afternoon at our Stay-and-Play session for children who are starting school with us in September. We hope you enjoyed meeting the staff and taking part in some fun activities with the children.
We had an amazing time at All Things Wild today! We loved looking at the different animals, finding out all about dinosaurs, and going on an ocean adventure. Working in groups, we also explored the mini beast trail, barefoot walk and the adventure playground!
