  • Year 6 Leavers

    Tue 20 Jul 2021

Today was a day of mixed emotions as we said goodbye to our lovely Year 6 class. The children enjoyed a fun swimming session during the morning before coming back to school for fish and chips! Year 6 parents were invited to our Leavers Service in the afternoon and the children shared their memories of their time here and their hopes and dreams for the future. We have loved watching them grow during their time at Orchard Primary and are sure they will make the most of all their opportunities at Pershore High School. Good luck Year 6, we will miss you. Shine like the stars that you are!

  • Celebration Assembly and Reading Rewards

    Mon 19 Jul 2021

On Friday morning we held our assembly to celebrate with all the children who have birthdays in June, July and August and each child was given a small cake.

We also held the draw for the reading reward vouchers in Key Stage 2. The lucky winners were: Rio (Y3), Juliette (Y4), Fin B (Y5) and Lily (Y6); they all received a £10 Amazon voucher.

Well done everyone; we hope all the children will continue reading through the summer.

  • Summer Reading Challenge

    Thu 15 Jul 2021

Wychavon libraries are running their Summer Reading Challenge during the holidays and this year it is available online as a digital resource. The theme is ‘Wild World Heroes’.

We would like to encourage pupils not only to visit the library to borrow books to read for the challenge but also to take part in the activities and events which are happening on-line and in the libraries.  If they visit through the summer they will be given stickers to collect on a special trail card and if they visit 6 times they can receive a special wristband, which they can show on their return to school in September.  Online activities include book chats, craft activities, Lego challenges, and code clubs.

  • Transition Morning

    Fri 09 Jul 2021

All the children have had a lovely morning getting to know their new class teacher for September. Although the transition process has been different again this year, we are doing all we can to make sure the children have the best start possible to the new academic year. Year 5 were also excited to meet Mr Daniel who will be joining us in September as our Year 6 teacher.
