Last week, Year 2 embarked on a safari tour at Bristol Aquarium with Tom, their guide, who brought the magical underwater world alive. His enthusiasm and knowledge kept the children engaged from start to finish. The children had an opportunity to feed the vegetarian piranha fish with peas and also touch some shark teeth and skin. The highlight was seeing the blue tang and clown fish as the children were learning about these fish in school.
Thank you to all our parent helpers for supporting the children on this trip.
On Friday we held our first Celebration Assembly of the year and were proud to celebrate the achievements of the following children: Ross (Rookie Lifeguard - Bronze Stage 1+2), Oliver (10m swimming distance award), Jemima (25m swimming distance award and Stage 6 swimming award), Maisie B (Stage 2 swimming award), Carla (Stage 6 swimming award), Katie (Stage 5 swimming award), Owen (Stage 2 swimming award and 5m distance award), Milo (Swimming Challenge - Gold Award), Brooklyn (Stage 3 swimming award), Lily (Stage 4 swimming award), Chelsea (Tae Kwon Do), Frankee (Brownie Guide Promise), Leah (awarded Blue Peter Badge for writing a poem "I Love being a Brownie"), Aimee (awarded a Blue Peter Badge for her Warwick Castle poem) and Cody (for being the official Matchday Mascot at the Stoke City v Burnley football match).
Mrs Bitcon also gave out badges to all the children who had achieved 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100 reads as well as Maths badges to those who had achieved Bronze level.
Thank you also to Milo and Sam for playing Happy Birthday on the piano to celebrate all the recent birthdays.
