• Artist Visit

  Today we had a visit from an artist for a David Hockney inspired workshop.  All the children gathered in the school hall where they were taught  to draw what they saw before going outside for more inspiration.  During the afternoon the children were treated to a painting demonstration and then had the chance to have a go themselves.  Their work will be displayed in our Art Exhibition on Monday 9 June.

• Reading - Tea Party

  This morning 12 excited children joined Mrs Bitcon for a Tea Party to celebrate achieving "80 reads".  Charlie, Emily, Farah, Robbie, Ryan, Shaun, Cole, Kayla, Oliver, Cody, Millie Y and Josh M enjoyed cake and juice at the picnic tables in the playground while they discussed their favourite books.

• Chocolate Bingo

  A big "thank you" to the Friends for organising the Chocolate Bingo on Friday evening!  It was lovely to see so many families there, all hoping to win one of  the fantastic chocolate hampers made up from donations  sent in on our non-uniform day. Over £200 was raised on the evening - thank you to everyone who supported this event.

• Celebration Assembly

  On Friday morning we welcomed parents and carers into school for our Celebration Assembly.  This month we celebrated the following achievements:  Sam - Level 4 British Gymnastics Proficiency Award, Lilly K - Green Belt in Tae-Kwondo, Millie S - Rainbow Guide Promise, Millie P - Swimming Stage 3 and 10m distance award, Sasha - Level 6 British Gymnastics Proficiency Award, Farah - Stage 6 Swimming Award and 25m Swimming Distance Award,  Isabel L - Stage 2 Swimming Award and 5m and 10m Distance Award, Emma G - Stage 3 Swimming Award and 10m Distance Award, Ross - Stage 4 Swimming Award, Alexia - Stage 3 Swimming Award and 10m Distance Award, Ed - 10m Swimming Distance Award, Frankee - Stage 3 Swimming Award and 10m Distance Award and Anya - Level 6 British Gymnastics Proficiency Award.  Parents were also treated to a performance by the After School Cheerleading Club who performed their routine from the recent Dance Festival.

• Pershore Cricket Club Coaching

  Children in Year 3 and Year 4 have enjoyed several sessions of cricket coaching; learning the basic rules and having bowling and batting practice.  Thank you to Pershore Cricket Club for providing the coaching - we hope that some of our pupils will continue playing cricket at the local club.
