The whole school have enjoyed celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee today. After watching a video clip of the Coronation this morning, the children ate their lunch in a "street style" party followed by an afternoon of fun activities. We are very grateful to Mr and Mrs Pitts, PB Waffles and Shakes, who provided doughnuts and waffles for all the children!
At the end of May, teams of 10 children from Years 4, 5 and 6 took part in the AAT Cricket Tournament held at Norton Cricket Club. Pupils from both Inkberrow Primary School and Norton-juxta-Kempsey Primary School also took part. The children did really well and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
On 13 May all the children took part in a Cricket Engagement Day run by Worcester Cricket Club. This was an opportunity for them to find out more about the sport and the coaches set up some fun activities for the children as they learnt the basics of throwing and catching and took part in a mini game.
This week Year 6 have been working really hard doing their SATs (Key Stage 2 assessments). We are very proud of all the children; they have really tried to do their best! To celebrate the end of tests, they all enjoyed a special breakfast of bacon and sausage baps and croissants today!
At the end of the Spring Term, pupils in Year 5 and Year 6 took part in a Residential Trip to Condover Hall in Shropshire, together with pupils from Inkberrow Primary School. While they were there they had a lot of fun activities and delicious food! “Super fun as always”!
Please have a look at their class pages to see photos of the children taking part in their activities.
On Friday 6 May, Year 1 invited their parents to Pershore Abbey to watch them recreate the Queen’s Coronation. The children have been learning a lot about the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and this event was designed to bring the occasion to life for them. All the children played the part of a person who was actually there. It was a total joy to watch and Year 1 did very well.
We would like to thank Pershore Abbey for allowing us to use their amazing building as well as providing the Bishop's Chair to use as our throne!
