  • Official Opening of New Playground Equipment!

    Wed 24 Jul 2013

The School Council were very pleased to be able to invite Governors and members of the Friends Committee to the official opening of the new playground equipment on Monday 22 July.

In September 2012 the School Council took on the task of improving lunch and playtime provision.  They carried out surveys with staff and pupils and looked through catalogues before coming up with the idea of a climbing stack and a 4 way shooter.  They then visited another school to make sure it was what they wanted!  Sam and James from Year 4 then made a successful application to the Governing Body and Friends Committee to ask for financial support.

All the children are delighted with the addition to our playground equipment!

    Fri 05 Jul 2013

Thank you to everyone who supported our Summer Fayre this year.  The sun shone well into the evening and parents and children enjoyed the many stalls on offer - children's games, facepainting, tombola, pork rolls, cheesecakes, jewellery and more!

Thank you very much to the Friends and their helpers who organised this fantastic event - over £950 was raised!

  • Heritage Ambassadors

    Wed 03 Jul 2013
Today, a group of Year 3 children stepped back in time and became Cherry Orchard Heritage Ambassadors.  The children and staff joined the Pershore Heritage Knights in Pershore Abbey and became detectives for the day.  During the course of the next academic year, Key Stage 2 will explore what Pershore would have been like in the time of King Arthur.
