Wow, what a busy assembly we had this morning! This month we celebrated the achievements of: Lily (Rainbows Roundabout Badge), Farah (Brownies Adventure and World Guiding Badges), Megan (Brownies Adventure and World Guiding Badges), Megan also received a Cocomology qualification and brought in some chocolate she had made, Alice (Lodge Leader and Pershore Beavers), Sophia (Swimming Challenge - Silver Award and 800m distance award), Malia (Stage 7 Swimming Award and 100m distance award), Isabel (100m swimming distance award), Alice (Stage 7 Swimming Award and 100m distance award), Emily (Stage 6 Swimming Award), Cody (Stage 4 Swimming Award), Riley (Stage 3 Swimming Award and 10m distance award), Connor (Stage 3 Swimming Award), Jack (10m swimming distance award), Michael (Stage 1 Swimming Award), William (Beavers Badges), Sam (white, yellow and green Tai Kwon Do belts) and Hermione (Level 8 British Gymnastics Proficiency Award).
The following children received their Bronze Mathletics certificates: Tiffany, Isabel, Charlie, Molly, Milo, Lacey, Farah, Millie S and Milly M. Tiffany, Farah and Megan also received their Silver Mathletics certificate.
All the Year 4 children who attended the Residential Trip were presented with a certificate of achievement from JCA.
We were also very proud of all the children who completed the Sport Relief Mile last Sunday - Emily, Michael, Isabel, Jack, Ethan, Lacey, Jayden, Lily, Maisie and Frankee.
Yesterday our Reception, Year 1 and Year 3 class took part in a dental health workshop led by a member of the School Nursing Team. The children learned how a healthy diet is important in looking after our teeth. They were also reminded of the importance of brushing their teeth every day and shown how to brush their teeth correctly. The children had lots of questions to ask and enjoyed the interactive workshop.
Year 2 and Year 4 will have the opportunity to take part in this workshop later in the month.
This year we decided to celebrate World Book Day a little differently! We have invested in a lot of new books which we will be sharing with the children at special fortnightly assemblies for the rest of this year.
Miss Scourfield led an exciting assembly when the children were shown all the new books before being read a story in their class group. Our aim is to inspire all our children to love reading.
