On Friday afternoon every class held a party to celebrate with all the children who had a birthday in September, October or November. We hope this will help the children remember their "Covid" birthday in a positive way and are looking forward to our next party in December!
On Thursday we had a virtual visit of the LifeBus; children in Years 3-6 took part in a SCARF session looking at different topics including how to keep mentally and physically fit, how to resolve conflict and the make-up of the human body.
Today marks the day World War One ended and this morning the whole school took part in a two-minute silence to remember all the people who have died in war. School fell silent at 11.00am and this year we had to show our respect is a slightly different way. Staff and pupils from Year 4, 5 and 6 stood in their class groups on the playground and listened to the Last Post. The younger children observed the two minute silence in the classroom this year to keep socially distanced.
