As part of their Space topic, Year 1 enjoyed a visit to Pershore Library this afternoon. The children listened to a story about space, learnt a space song and had the opportunity to look at lots of books about this topic that the library had put together for them. We'd like to thank the library staff for a lovely visit. Please have a look at the Year 1 class page to see more about their visit.

Pupils in Year 1, Year 4 and Year 5 started the week with an amazing experience - a virtual reality workshop! During the session, the children in Year 4 were transported to different parts of the world where they met many species of animals while children in Year 1 and Year 5 were transported in space! They all learnt lots of interesting facts.

Year 4 welcomed local artist, Maggi Davis, who came to teach the children a printing technique in a workshop organised in conjunction with Number 8 Arts Centre. The children designed their own picture inspired by their topic on the Rainforest.
The children's work will be displayed at an exhibition at Number 8 in March.
Today is Safer Internet Day; the theme this year is "Want to talk about it? Making space for conversations about life online".
The children took part in an assembly and various activities with their class during the day to remind them about the importance of staying safe online.
Please have a look at the online safety newsletters on our school website (under News and Events) for ideas on how to start a conversation about online safety.
On Friday children in Key Stage 2 received a visit from Severn Trent Water. They recapped the key stages of the water cycle and then considered how water is used in daily life around the world. The children then carried out an investigation in groups, working out how much water was used (and wasted) in different scenarios. They shared their findings, learning how we could do things to waste less water in our own homes.
