Tuesday 10 January was Egyptian Day! Year 3 got dressed up as Egyptians – there were lots of amazing outfits! The children learnt lots of different things about the Pharaoh’s, pyramids and preserving bodies ready for the afterlife! They really enjoyed the experience and loved handling the different artefacts.
As part of our Grace Darling topic this half-term, Year 2 enjoyed a hands-on Victorian experience day yesterday. As well as spending the day dressed like Victorian school children, they also had the opportunity to learn about and "play" with lots of real Victorian artefacts.
Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their visit from the History Man yesterday. The children experienced what life was like for people during this period in history. They also identified some of the main changes that took place, focusing primarily on religion.
