"Small enough to care, Big enough to inspire"
Find out about our latest news here!
Children and parents excitedly welcomed Mrs Culwick and Mr Stanton yesterday afternoon to cut the ribbon at the official opening of our new Early Years building. Our purpose-built Early Years Unit is now the new home for our Nursery and Reception Class children. We are ever grateful to Mrs Culwick for her involvement and contribution to this project.
After the opening, children and parents enjoyed coffee and cake at our MacMillan Coffee Afternoon.
Yesterday our Year 4 class were lucky enough to be invited to Abbey Park First School to attend an event with the award-winning author Megan Rix. The author talked to the children about her books and showed them lots of pictures of the animals who have inspired many of her stories. The children were able to ask questions, before buying one of the author's books and having it signed.
We hope this event has inspired the children and helped them on their journey to a love of reading.
This afternoon we held our first Celebration Assembly of this academic year and were proud to celebrate the achievements of:
Josh P (Learn to Swim Level 3), Brooklyn (Stage 4 Swimming Award), Chelsea (4th Kup Tae Kwon Do Certificate), Alice (Tae Kwon Do Green Belt), Kian (Stage 2 Swimming Award), Cody (Swimming Challenge Bronze Award and 400m distance award), Gracie (Level 6, 7 and 8 British Gymnastics Proficiency Award), Charlotte, (Swimming Challenge Bronze Award), Ella (Learn to Swim Level 2 Award), Michael (Letter from Lego after he built the U-Wing Starfighter), Aaliyah (for taking part in Kidderminster Harriers Community Scheme for Football) and Toby (Under 12 winner of the Journal Cup for Angling).

The following children also took part in the Summer Reading Challenge - Animal Agents - organised by Pershore Library: Josh P, Katie C, Tiffany, Maisie B, Owen, Carla, Kian, Sophia, Michael, Emily and Aaliyah.
Congratulations everyone!
Congratulations to Emily, Frankee, Chloe, George, Megan, Isabel, Maisie, Jemima, Sophia, Tiffany, Anya, Logan, Charlie and Chelsea who have all had their stories published in the book "Crazy Creatures - Worcestershire Legends" following a competition organised by Young Writers.
Young Writers aim is to encourage children to read, write and enjoy poetry and creative writing. Last term, while they were in Year 3 with Miss Secker, the children entered this competition to write a story using just 100 words, combining their imaginations with their creative writing ability.
Congratulations everyone, we are very proud of you and we are sure your parents will enjoy reading your stories too!
