Children and parents excitedly welcomed Mrs Culwick and Mr Stanton yesterday afternoon to cut the ribbon at the official opening of our new Early Years building.  Our purpose-built Early Years Unit is now the new home for our Nursery and Reception Class children.  We are ever grateful to Mrs Culwick for her involvement and contribution to this project.

  • Event with award-winning author Megan Rix

    Wed 27 Sep 2017

Yesterday our Year 4 class were lucky enough to be invited to Abbey Park First School to attend an event with the award-winning author Megan Rix.  The author talked to the children about her books and showed them lots of pictures of the animals who have inspired many of her stories.  The children were able to ask questions, before buying one of the author's books and having it signed.

We hope this event has inspired the children and helped them on their journey to a love of reading.

  • Young Writers Competition

    Mon 18 Sep 2017

Congratulations to Emily, Frankee, Chloe, George, Megan, Isabel, Maisie, Jemima, Sophia, Tiffany, Anya, Logan, Charlie and Chelsea who have all had their stories published in the book "Crazy Creatures - Worcestershire Legends" following a competition organised by Young Writers.

Young Writers aim is to encourage children to read, write and enjoy poetry and creative writing.  Last term, while they were in Year 3 with Miss Secker, the children entered this competition to write a story using just 100 words, combining their imaginations with their creative writing ability.

Congratulations everyone, we are very proud of you and we are sure your parents will enjoy reading your stories too!
