  • Anti-bullying Week

    Fri 19 Nov 2021 Year 5

Today was "Odd Sock Friday" to raise awareness for Anti-bullying Week. We watched the Anti-bullying Live Lesson and held a class debate/discussion. From the key messages in the video and our class discussion, we came up with our own "One Kind Words" and recognised that this was how we should act all of the time, not simply during this awareness week. We then took part in the Now Press Play Anti-bullying experience and found it incredibly moving.

  • Children-in-Need

    Wed 17 Nov 2021

The children were very excited to have a visit from Pudsey today as part of our fundraising for Children-in-Need. The theme for the charity this year is "Together We Can!" and the children took part in various activities during the day, working in their House teams to achieve challenges they would not be able to do by themselves. Please look at the class pages for more photos of the children in action! Thank you for all your donations, the money was collected by Pudsey and we will be sent a certificate showing the amount raised.

  • Remembrance Day

    Thu 11 Nov 2021

This morning the whole school came together in the hall for the first time since March 2020 for our act of remembrance. The children made their own poppies in school this week as they have been learning about the significance of Remembrance Day. Throughout the morning, each class laid their poppies in the hall and at 11am we gathered together for a period of reflection during the two minutes' silence. Jack and Lottie recited lines from the poem "For the Fallen" before the Last Post was played.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning

    We will remember them."

  • Pre-school learn about Remembrance Day

    Thu 11 Nov 2021

Children in our pre-school have been learning about the significance of the poppy and why we remember all the brave soldiers who helped us.

  • Pershore Schools Armistice Service

    Tue 09 Nov 2021

This morning, Mrs Bitcon, Jack (Head Boy) and Lottie (Head Girl) represented our school at the Pershore Schools Armistice Service. Although the service had to be scaled back this year due to Covid-19 restrictions, it was wonderful to be able to hold the annual wreath laying service at the Commemorative Garden in Pershore with children from all 7 local schools taking part.

  • Romans Day

    Tue 02 Nov 2021 Year 4

As a stunning start to our topic, Year 4 had a Roman Day! We spent all day dressed up and learning about everything Roman - we even had a special visit from a Roman gladiator! As part of our day we looked at how Rome was first founded and retold the story of Romulus and Remus. We had a go at acting out the story before creating our own storyboard of the myth.

Please have a look at our class page to see some of the fantastic photographs.
