  • Pottery with John the Potter - Review

Mon 13 May 2013 Niamh and Nathan

We met a man called John the Potter, he makes lots of pottery. He came to Cherry Orchard First School and we asked him to help us to make something for Mothers’ Day. He handed us some clay, next we had to warm it in our hands and flatten it to make the shape of a face which is kind of oval shaped. Finally we made the shapes of the eyes, nose, ears and mouth. This day was fun and exciting and it was nice to be able to give something to our Mums.

  • Malvern Trip - Review

Mon 13 May 2013 Heather, Paige and Luke

On the 4th March we got on a coach, we were very excited. These were the activities: quad pole, archery, tunnel of doom, zip wire, low ropes, high ropes, rock climbing, they were good fun.

In the evening some of us went on a night walk, in the night we saw some shooting stars. Before we went to bed we had hot chocolate and some biscuits. We went to bed at 9.00 – we were all exhausted.

We were sad to be leaving but we were leaving with good, happy memories.

  • Visit to the Big Pit Museum - Review

Mon 13 May 2013 by James, Ellissa and Dylan

On Monday 4 February Year 3 and Year 4 went on  trip to The Big Pit, National Coal Museum in Blaenavon.  On the way there we saw lots of magnificent sights. When we arrived we saw an old train. When we were in the mine we saw pipes with smelly water running along them. On the way back we were tired and having a really nice time, in the bus I said “I want to go back to the Big Pit again!”
